Beatdown Week

In a league of parity (where normally 7-3 is considered a beatdown), it was surprising to see 3 teams suffer such embarrassment.  MDO's beat back The Windstorm 8-1-1, despite Steve's respectable offensive performance.

LANA took the whole thing and not Just The Tip, 9-1.

And Team America did its patriotic duty against Not Cano's Vicodin Dealer, 9-1.

That victory put Nick on top of the league (damn you), relegating The Dark Side (team awesome) to second place by a game.  It's a two team race for the regular season money right now.

I'd like to take this moment to address all the trades that took place this week.

Ok Done.

Steve, JA Happ want's to know why you dropped him.  That dude is scary looking.  Reminds me of overly attached girlfriend.

In a slight rebuttal of Nick's pickup of Anthony Rizzo:

The recent change of making the playoffs a 6 team affair rather than a 4 team affair has rendered the regular season moot.  There will be no epic battle for the last 2 playoff spots.  The league has played out in such a way that the 6 teams to make the playoffs are rather obvious.  Cano's Vicodin is out.  Dick Cheeze and Tip need an epic last few weeks to make it and Avengers really probably won't make up for past defeats.  The 6 teams are set.  The two byes are set.  I can't see things changing much.  This change has been a travesty.  4 teams next year.  Make the regular season count.
